Commission of integrity (CoI): The international association on anti-corruption commissions shows its readiness to support Iraq effort in extradite his stolen money and recover those who convicted with corruption

The international anti-corruption association expressed its readiness to assist and support Iraqi efforts extraditing his stolen money recovering convicted persons.

Caugian Mengh the head of international association showed during his meeting with Judge Ala’a Joad Hameed head of CoI on a margin of Panama the fifth session of the conference of the states parties to the UNCAC (Panama City from 25-29 Nov) his deep understanding of Iraqi suffers from corruption and the irresponsiveness some parties with his effort recovering his money and the fugitives robbers.

Judge Hameed presented to Mengh CoI activities to encounter the corruption phenomenon and spreading integrity culture to prevent society from corrupt practices, he indicated to Iraqi legal progress for recovering its stolen money and extraditing convicted persons residing in other countries and he concentrated on the refractoriness of some countries extraditing the corrupt persons and recover the money which they stole to make benefit of its proceeds despite being considered a corrupt money.

From other side, Mengh expressed as head of Chinese commission of integrity his country desire to sign a memorandum with Iraq represented by CoI to frame mutual legal assistance and opening corresponding channels regarding anti-corruption and recovering the stolen money and extradite the convicted persons to their countries.

On a related context Head of Iraqi delegation met the Iranian and Malaysian head of delegation who expressed their countries readiness to sign a memorandum of understanding with Iaqi CoI to enhance, strengthen and expand cooperation circle in fighting corruption and encountering stolen money smuggling crimes fields and bring it back to their countries.

The association held on a margin of Panama the fifth session of the conference of the states parties to the UNCAC which presented by (137) members including Iraq and they dissuaded the corruption crimes increasing averages in the world and their effects on all countries and peoples, their reflection on the international economical and commercial deals structure and their serious consequences in acquisition peoples wealth

The Iraqi delegates draw the meeting attention to the dangerous of stolen money smuggling crimes increasing outside their countries and some countries tolerate in receiving and operating these money and provide safe heaven to the money robberies, stressing the need to decisively thwart the polices of these countries for being an encouraging factor of corruption phenomenon, money plundering and processes.
