Commission of integrity (CoI): international civil society alliances notify Panama the fifth session of the conference of the states parties to the UNCAC its readiness to support the effort of countries which their money are stolen

The international civil societies’ alliance notified UN of its readiness to cooperate with international organization and local governments in assist countries which their money are stolen to recover it. 

The alliance which consist of more than (350) civil society organization stressed that the implementation and apply provision of UNCAC require an active procedures from the signatory countries and international organizations to deliver humanity from corruption crimes results which become a phenomenon threaten the peoples futures, their rising, development and welfare factors.

The alliance draw, in a statement presented it to signatory countries of convention currently held in Panama, the attention although ten years passed on announcing UN convention still there are a lot of corruption crimes committing and the perpetrator escape from punishment, that led to adopt more strict procedures to implement the international convention provisions and force all parties to adopt it.

(International anti-corruption convention alliance) suggested a series of movements and procedures for the international convention provisions at the forefront inviting countries which not joint yet to the convention to sign and ratify the convention as soon as possible, and call the convention state parties to enact laws that make the anti corruption crimes information accessible regarding preventing occurring corruption crimes in all its faces and sources and to ensure the free information publishing regarding public political persons and to force them to disclose their financial statues and consider corruption one of the most danger which threaten bank system programs and financial institutions.

The provisions statement stressed on the necessity to protect the informers and watch parties’ financial sources and electoral campaign and to ensure existing active procedures to suspend the accused public officials impunity and compensate corruption victims by giving them the right to prosecute the corrupters.

The statements points stressed the necessity that the convention state parties should adopt laws that prevent the provision of safe haven for plundered money, and facilitate the return of that money to their home countries, as well as to give the opportunity for the relevant international organization such as, the ARAB FORUM for stolen assets, to cooperate with countries and to help recover their wealth.
