The events of the national the integrity week which organized by commission of integrity under slogan (the integrity is ethic and responsibility) conclusion on Saturday.

The festival events beginning with celebration in Al-khuld hall, the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki delivered a speech praised the efforts of the commission and the parties supporting them to fight corruption and to protect the public money, and criticized some of the political parties which deal with the corruption crimes depending on the militias targeting the public money, and said that the freedom is now used to control freedoms of others, extortion and overtaking on state funds.

The commissioner of COI in his speech stressed that fight corruption meaning defense on Iraqi human dignity, and said who takes on this honorable national responsibility must have the guardian`s features defined by Imam Ali (peace be upon him) most patient at revealing matters, most firm at judgment distinctness not flattered by compliment, and not enticed by temptation. The days of week included showing play, short films, programs, meetings Radio and TV, poetry, exhibitions of publications, exhibitions of bulletins, posters, paintings, play shows, seminars dialogue and of education focused on the risks of corruption crimes, the responsibility of citizens, state institutions and civil society organizations supporting COI for implementing its tasks in fighting this phenomenon and spread the culture of integrity.

The judge Alaa Jawad Hamid, the commissioner of COI, and head of journalists Moa’ed Al lami signed a memorandum of understanding for enhancing fight corruption and expand the interesting news organizations with survey subjects to shed lights on focuses of corruption in various facilities of the state. The judge Alaa Jwad Hamid met the head of the Supreme Council of the judiciary judge Medhat Al- Mahmoud and agreed on many of measures and speedup the termination of case related to corruption issues, from the other side opened the new headquarters of the office of the integrity commission in Maysan.

A team of employees in COI visited the schools, offices, production facilities for the distribution publications, posters, explanation of commission functions and code of conduct and legal items which apply to violators’ work instructions in state institutions and manipulate of public money and damage to the public interests.
