Commission of integrity (CoI): Short movies festival, (Sellwkyat Nasswh), (Vatrrenah) and (Segarrah) where the three top short movies in the festival and a play (Lenarseem Ma’an) were presented at this fistival

Today CoI organized short movies festivals with cultural and preventive concept seek to urge the citizens on good manners and not to commit corrupt practices.

The presentations included (14) scenes which were seen by Judge Alla’a Jouad Hammed and number of IGs, officials, crowed of cinema interested people and critics.

The animation movie for Uday Kadhum came at the top under title Sellwkyat Nasswh, and Vatrrenah was the second for Assa’ad Abd Al-hameed where Segarrah for Saddam Hashem came third.

The festival shows dealt with corruption crime and behavior from deferent angels of society and family life, governmental office and peoples dealings in street, office, market, club and houses of worship

The shows which held in oil cultural center focused on the disastrous effects resulted by the corruption crimes on individuals and families relations,  public money, development plans and program from one side, and on corrupters life, society despised of their behaviors which are not accepted by society and religions from other side.

The festival began with a word of the Judge Alla’a Jouad Hameed  praised on the cinema role as a highest understanding and educational mean able to convey the ideas and affects the people’s attitude in a way harmonizing deferent faction of society.

He stressed CoI`s keenness to interact, cooperate and collectively work with artists of different directions and means of expressions, saying "The Seventh Art is an active device and a strongly effective means in thwarting deviant behaviors and terminating destructive ideas that seek to distort the path of our society`s ethics, diminish the ideal values of humanity and encourage corrupts to steal public money."

Prior to the festival`s activities, a pantomime play entitled (Ikhtinaq; suffocation) was presented, criticizing the silence of some people towards the crimes of corruption, and some others for covering up the acts of public money takeover, phenomena of bribery and society sabotage. The play called for loud voices to create a deterrent national position against corrupts and those disregardful to ethics.

In a different part within the framework of the National Week of Integrity, CoI conducted a children show, titled (Linarsum Qamaran; let`s draw a moon) in Al-Fanoos Assihri Hall.

The scenes of the show, attended by the First Deputy Commissioner, Judge Ezzat Ja`afar Tawfeeq, a number of officials, groups of children and pupils- focused on implanting patriotism within the young and educating them about the principles of integrity and taboos of religion and society.

The scenes resembled ethics and strait behaviors to the light that guides walkers to the paths of success and survival, and corruption behaviors to the darkness in which walkers are led to the wrong paths, threatened by risks and abysses.

The scenes also included a poem for Iraq`s poet titled (Ya Dijlatal Khair; O` Tigress the kind) by one of the lads, in which he expressed his deep love for the land of Iraq, its soil and air, as well as his adherence to and defense of his national identity no matter how strong hardships are or how enemies pile up.
