A surveillance team caught a police officer, under a judicial order, in the act of bribery for processing people`s petitions.
The commission stated in the Investigation Office statement that their team moved, under the investigation`s judge order, to middle region customs office in (Abu Gharib) to observe the activities of the 2nd lieutenant (S.A.H). The team observed him while he was processing people`s petitions of invalidating manifest vehicles and taking money in return to put it in a (Kia/Mohave) car parked in one of the office corners.
CoI clarified that the team, after documenting the accused movements with sound and picture, arrested him in (26/3/2013) red-handed with bribery. The team seized invalidating petitions along with (931.000) I.D of different values which were marked by investigative judge, so it can be one the criminal exhibits before court.
The specialized judge issued an order to detain the accused person while continuing the investigation in every aspect.
