Iraq is conducting negotiations with TI in Berlin about corruption and perceptions in Iraq

Iraq negotiations with TI in Berlin have started in March 13 about corruption and perceptions in Iraq.

Iraq delegation presided by the head of CoI Alaa Jawad Hameed, presented procedures that achieved by Iraq over accomplishment its commitments stated in the UN convention for fighting corruption after joining into it in 2007 which implied number of laws and procedures that help the concerned parties on fighting corruption forms, extracting its sources, disclosed corrupt persons, and distributing the culture of integrity and transparency in the establishments and society.

The delegation presented a detailed vision of levels and horizons of cooperation with TI to reach and achieve the objectives of the organization in CPI in Iraq via true channels and with clear and transparent forms that lead to draw the image of corruption problem with its actual features and its real degree away of amplifying or decreasing the problem.

The delegation expressed Iraq satisfaction that is useful to its course of fighting corruption making use of experiences and capabilities of all international parties, including civil society organization and TI based in the capital, Germany.

According to this vision, the delegation composed of civil society organizations proposed work program and cooperation with the organization to enable it to inspect corruption in Iraq, adopt its perceptions and diagnose its reasons to enable Iraq facing corruption and its risks.

It is worth mentioning that, when marked corruption perceptions in Iraq until the end of last year, TI was depending on sources and individuals living outside Iraq for a long time and their diagnosis for the features of problem need clarity and transparency.
