Starting its program the Prevention Office teams in CoI visited 64 public offices to verify the financial status of the senior officials working there. An official in the prevention office said that his office has already received 1750 financial disclosure forms during the last January. The teams visits covered 55 state and private banks. Offices in Baghdad, provisional councils, traffics offices, municipality, Baghdad stocks market and office of registration companies were included by these visits.
The teams verified the information in the financial forms with the real properties the senior officials have in their names or in the names of their sons or wives. Also to know how much was the increase in their assets during assuming their positions and the legal documents for acquisition properties.
Worthy mentioning, the CoI law no. 30 for 2011 requires all civil senior official, from the state president down to the director generals, and the military officers from the minister of defense down to the majors to submit their financial status forms including of their sons and wives, to the CoI in a step to prevent abuse of power, illicit enrichment, or illegal personal profits.
At the same time, the teams on work performance in the public offices had carried out 24 visits to make sure that all employees following the standards of performing their work and taking their responsibilities to determine the obstacles and ways of treatments.
Those visits covered the state company for the central markets, teenagers` welfares office in the ministry of justice, the state company for batteries manufacturing as well as 13 sections within the general directorate of retirement in addition to studying a plan to have workshops in Wasit and Maysan provinces.
In connection with above efforts, Anti- bribery teams had 12 visits last month to determine the level of taking bribery by employees work in the real estate rehistration offices in Karkh and Adimiya, tax offices in Rusafa and Kadimiya and in inspector general offices in Baghdad municipality , ministry of oil, education directorate of AlRusafa and in Al Zahra and AlKarama hospitals.
