COI: Bribery indicator in the state ranging below 3% since three months

Bribery indicator in state offices keeps on its levels below 3% since January ,which recorded by COI surveys in the last two months of the last year.

The monthly questionnaire findings of COI through last month revealed that (23 624) citizen and about (96) percent of the petitioners who had petitions in the state offices, they did not pay bribes in order to achieve their petitions. 

The petitioners did not disclose more than (1) percent of whether they paid bribes or refuse. It stated that(2.95) percent obliged to pay bribe to some employees in(387)  offices  in all Iraq.

The audit team questionnaire excluded  (1422)persons forms for providing contradictory answers or frequent, incomplete or because they did not have the petition in the offices, which led to use  (22202) forms of analysis , comparison and conclusion.

The (656) persons admitted paying bribes to the employees due to several reasons for this behavior, thus (164) employees was accused because they have taken bribe at a rate of more than (22) percent and(134) of them attributed the reason beyond the petitions delayed in state offices, thus by more than (18 ) percent while (264) of them did not determine , or about (36) percent, where mentioned the reason for paying bribe and(14) petitioners admitted that they paid bribes for their illegal petitions and (151) admitted that they wanted to achieve their petitions without delay .
Including (21,310) citizens did not pay bribes during their service seeking , it reported that (18 785)petitioners they did not face difficulties in achieving their petitions , while (2360) petitioners they faced difficulties in achieving their petitions while (165) refused to give any information regarding their petitions.  

It was disclosed through the analysis of scientific levels for bribes payer, It was included (3) of PhDs and (18) Master (192) BA and (96) Diploma and (115) preparatory and (100) intermediate and (69)secondary education and including(43) persons who never reads or writes whereas (20)of them did not disclose their teaching education.

The details of questionnaire showed that males had the priority in paying bribes. There were (498) males compared with (141)females whereas (17)persons didn`t announce their gender.
