COI: Iraqi positive laws take care of fighting corruption since one century

COI said that national legislations in Iraq take care of integrity cases and fighting corruption before about one century to the present time.

COI clarified in the annual report to legal office items that the legislations enacted in Iraq since 1917 up to now 2445 articles and items relative to corruption and integrity cases.

The classification`s office clarified that 650 items from that articles are still valid while the Iraqi judicial was stopped 1770 items.

The legal office carried out classification to those national legislations according to its titles under nine chapters: constitutions, checks, financial, civil and penal legislations, systematic and monitoring procedures and subjects of employment affairs and public service.

The legalists in the office reviewing and auditing the counted legislation relevant to transparency and fighting corruption to put it them in a final format compatible with the subject for which they have been an acted.
