CoI: Last year we referred to judiciary 5980 suspects of corruption in dealings over trillion dinars

CoI last year referred to competent courts about 6000 suspects of corruption.

CoI legal office annual report revealed that CoI offices in Baghdad and governorates, except Kurdistan region, referred to judiciary 5980 suspects accused of crimes that are within the jurisdiction of commission of integrity. The report tables outlined the transaction amounts of corruption by trillion 335 billion, 74 millions, 667 thousands and 388 dinars.

Al-rasafa and Al-karkh offices in Baghdad referred to judiciary 1207 persons accused of corruption in dealings valued at trillion , 83 billions, 278 millions , 308 thousands and 324 000 dinars.

Al-dywaniya investigation office referred 883 suspects and Babylon 705, Theeqar 448, Nineveh 445, Basra 344, Kirkuk 312, Diyala 284, Meesan 257, Wassit 230, Najaf 229, Al-anbar 194, Karbala 182, Muthana 134 and Saladin 126.

 The month of December topped the number of referrals by 495 suspects followed by April and May 457 for each, 401 in November, 386 in September, 347 in June, 330 in each January and July, 312 in November, 287 in March, 273 in February and then 203 in August.
