The President of Council of Representatives Osama Alnejefy provided his financial disclosure for the current year 2013 to be the first from legislative authority.

Cabinet President Nori Al Maleky provided his financial disclosure on the last Wednesdayof the current year 2013.  

It has been mentioned that COI Commissioner, judge Alaa Jawad Hameed , his deputy judge Ezzat Tawfic Jaefer and General Directors in COI  were the first who started the process of disclosure on  morning of the first  official day for current year, while the Member of representatives council Sheerwan Alwali tops the list  of council of representatives members who provided their  financial disclosure.

COI prepares to declare annual report about financial disclosure of Senior Officials in the country and inform public opinion about the names of those who didn’t provide their financial disclosure of the last year.

It is known that COI applicable law imposes on civil senior officials, from Republic President to the director generals and security forces, from minister to major lieutenant to disclose their financial status to insure the legitimacy of the increase in their wealth and property as well as their wives and dependant sons after they held their high ranking posts in the government and according to their declared income. This legal procedure aims at insuring the transparency of government officials work course and not to abuse their powers to illicitly enrich from or misuse the post   to achieve personal interests and they shall be subject to legal accountability in case there is illegal increase in their money.
