The impact of corruption and its effects on the public life in Iraq has been greatly covered by the press media and websites during last year.

COI allocated 2254 reports, articles and items to be released by (18) newspapers in 2012 nine topics per day on a weekly basis.

The websites published 1543 topics on corruption during last year, which means that they published four articles at least per a day included critical articles and corruption scandals information on senior leaders and high ranking officials holding different positions in the government.

It was noted that most coverage did not include an accurate investigative efforts to reach the facts and  to highlight the dark sides of corruption in a way that assist the commission of integrity to perform its tasks and also to help the justice to implement the law on those corrupted people in order to rebuild the country.     

Some of objects tend to cancel the role of press as fourth authority in the state. Through, using phrases, slander accents, offence and deprivation reflected the intends and purposes far away from the professional accuracy or fighting of corruption and spreading the ideas and culture of the integrity, but using exciting and incitation in cases which was not terminate by the judiciary. 

Al-mada newspaper was in the top of covering media last year stated (246) object and followed by AL-byeina ALjadeda (215), AL-nas and ALdestoor (198), AL-mostaqbal (196), AL-sabah (176), ALzaman (172), AL-mashriq (144) and Treeq AL-shaa’b (116).

Both AL-mo`tamer and AL- sabah ALjadid(95)object ,AL-ta`akhi(85),Baghdad(72),AL-`adala(57),AL`alam,AL`etehad(42),AL-bayan(34) and finally  AL-sharq AL-Ousat(15) object.
