CoI participated in the meetings, which were held in Vienna last Thursday, for the signed and ratified countries on the agreement to establish the international anti-corruption academy.
The participants discussed the terms of the permanent committee for the chief executive council to the academy and the launch of the post-graduate degree in fighting corruption.
CoI delegates were headed by the first deputy commissioner along side with some CoI specialists.
Judge Ezat Tawfeeq Jaafar, head of CoI delegates, expressed his satisfaction for the launch of the academy, which will enhance the abilities and expertise for the state parties in the field of fight corruption and strengthening the integrity principles between its societies.
The Deputy praised on these meetings and he considered it as a promising chance to achieve discussions between the participants to strengthen the cooperation among their countries in fighting corruption and exchanging information and expertise.
The Deputy presented a brief on the Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy work and achievements throughout the last short period. He also presented a brief on its goals in training field; provide continuous education for oversight bodies’ staff, spreading the culture of integrity and transparency and liability and accountability and to prepare researches and studies in its field. The Deputy wished all the success for everyone attended these meetings especially for those who work in fighting corruption field.
