The CoI was able on Wednesday March 24 to seize and recover 77 Iraqi million dinars were embezzled from the ministry of environment throughout a standard investigation continued for 3 days only. The main suspect in this case was embezzled the mentioned amount of money through issuing false checks by deceiving one of the ministry of environment`s female employee and another employees works in one of the banks in Baghdad. Some of the embezzled money were recovered by a team from the CoI while a raid on the suspect`s house, the rest of the money were traced throughout following what he spent on properties. The suspect already spent the money on cars and other properties in one of the provinces.
