The relation office held a workshop with NGOs in an extensive media campaign (the media role in spreading integrity culture, social education and integrity principles) in 16/9/2012 in Jarrash hotel hall in cooperation with Karbala province council.

The workshop was opened with verses of Holly Quran on the Iraqi martyrs then the CoI speech was presented by Mr. Munther Maki Hassan, Mr. Nsaif Al Khetabi deputy of Karbala province council presented a speech of the province council.

The fist session was under title (CoI act and the Commission activities) and the second session was under title (the role of media in spreading integrity and transparency culture) presented by Mr. (Hussain Salem) the director general deputy in the relation with non governmental organizations office he talked about the importance of media role in fighting corruption and how to take the information and use it and the role of governmental media.

Many points were mentioned in the workshop: one of them the performance of the monitoring offices and activate the religious institution and its role in directing the public opinion, and employment mechanism in governmental offices and the necessity to be clear and transparent, also activating money disclosure and the inspector general role, and give the BSA a big role, and the importance of activating the culture of reporting of corruption cases.

At the end the attendees emphasized of the importance of repeating the workshops in the province and educate people.
