CoI carried out questionnaires at 556 offices and 13 workshops within six months

Within the first half of the year, CoI carried out questionnaires at 556 formal offices to specify bribery indicators within the employees` milieus.

CoI relations with NGOs office stated that it surveyed 32 thousands citizens (whom seeking services from Governmental offices) regarding the reasons behind bribing employees.

During the same period, the relations with NGOs office held 13 workshops (seven at Baghdad and the others at Basrah, Kirkuk and Najaf). The workshops subjects focused on the role of media and social education in spreading integrity concepts, fighting corruption and the role of educational institutions in strengthening these ethics and values. Moreover, the workshops that were held in cooperation with some of NGOs discussed the code of conduct and the role of planning offices in building the educational, productive and service sectors based on good grounds and the bad results of corruption in destroying the community bonds.

The office teams made nine visits to the Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Central Survey Office, Holy Alawi Shrine and IGs offices at the Ministry of Health and Shiite Endowment to discuss the issues regarding the joint work between the two parties. Moreover, the office representatives attended fourteen meetings, three sessions, two conferences and short film festivals regarding the dangerousness of corruption and the needs of spreading integrity culture.
