COI continues its tours in various provinces through the media campaign in order to spread culture of integrity, transparency and cooperation with civil society organizations in provinces. COI held a workshop in AL- Anbar Governorate council, in cooperation with AL- Safa development Assembly. The workshop focused on the role of media and social culture in promoting a culture of integrity with the presence of deputy head of the Provincial Council and a number of its members and heads of sub-committees and media managers in departments of the province and in addition to a number of tribe leaders, after red Surat Al-Fatiha by the audience in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, an speech by the acting - Chairman of AL- Anbar province Mr. Saadoun Abeid Shailan about the plague corruption dangerous, which considered as the most dangerous than terrorism that, took place in AL- Anbar province years ago. Thus it was important to face and fight it as the leaders of province have faced all kind of sabotages that aimed to ruin the province.

COI spokesman Mr. Hassan Karim Atti assured the role of COI in pursuing corruption cases related to services provided to citizens and in the way of avoiding COI from any confects to maintain its professional and objective work. He mentioned that there were numbers and statistics of what was achieved that disproof the negligent work in COI, stressing the importance of the media in promoting a culture of integrity and transparency through media campaigns undertaken by COI in all Iraq provinces and the necessity to activate the electronic government project because of its clear impact on reducing the administrative routine, wich may be the main raison of most corruption cases.

He urge people of AL-Anbar to prove that they are the best in field of fighting corruption and prosecute corrupted, as they have proved their ability in the eradication of terrorism, through education by officials as well as tribe leaders and religious because of their impact on the people of the province.

Mr. Munther Mackie addresses speech of COI in which he referred to the strategy developed by COI to spread culture of integrity and transparency. Mr. Arqan Khalaf the head of the Construction and Engineering affaires committee in AL- Anbar, explained obstacles facing the Committee in work and ways which can develop its work before the heads of sub-committees in AL- Anbar governance council, their perceptions of the working mechanism that puts the province on the right track in pursuing corruption cases and the prosecution of corrupt stressing the necessity of cooperation with COI and the holding of educational workshops to promote a culture of integrity among all the various levels of society.
