COI Commissioner: active role for Religious values in fighting corruption
AL-Allaq: Integrity concept is the best way to deal with the public money
CoI Commissioner Judge Ala`a Jwad Hameed assured the role of religion in fighting corruption to achieve the preventive actions that COI is seeking. The divans, religious men and endowment committee in the parliament took a great role in spreading integrity, curbing all kind of corruption and wasting the public money through Friday religious speech and Sunday mass. COI held consultation meeting moderated by CoI Commissioner, the Head of endowment committee and Religious Affairs in the parliament, AL-Allaq, Seikh Ahmed Abdul Ghaffor Al Samaraee the Head of Sunni divan and Seikh Sami AL- Masoa’adi representing the Shiite divan at the
COI Commissioner mentioned that it was necessary to depend on religious entity for spreading integrity values in the society because the Iraqis have ethics and religious values.
Dr Ali AL Allaq the Head of divan and religious affair committee in the parliament said; “We will be responsible before God, nation and history in order to complete the rebuilding of the modern State. The Integrity concept was the best way to deal with the public money. Thus, the person who is in charged is the one who concerned with integrity more than others.”
Sheikh (Ahmed .A.AL-samraa’y) the head of Sunni Endowment confirmed that “servicing society is the closest and most important way to worship God, so we should aware public employees to be generous and polite because position never lasts and the Iraqi citizen is frustrated and COI is the best treatment.”
Sheikh (AL- Masoa’adi) the representative of Shiite divan indicated that the activation of COI initiative, regarding cooperation between the religious institution and the commission, will achieve more than one goal by fixing the religion principles and the fair concepts throughout mosques “the religion endowments are helping COI to create transparent environment among government institutions and this can be achieved by holding a joint conference resulting in recommendations that Friday preacher’s can discuss (according to the Sharia) to show the destiny of those who steal the public funds” said (AL- Masoa’adi).
COI spokesman confirmed that our religious values are the base of our culture , suggesting that joint work may be organized through forming coordinating committee between COI and religious endowments and culture and religion affairs committee in CoR. the assembler blessed this suggestion and Judge E`zat Jaa`fer (deputy commissioner ) valued the religious institution and the clerics by indicating to continue the joint work through continuous meetings to raise preventive measures and to spread integrity culture in the society.
