Spreading the culture of integrity: CoI organizes a seminar in the Ministry of Immigration and Displaced

CoI organized a seminar for the of the employees Ministry of Immigration and Displaced about the perfect methods of performance and the importance of working according to the mentioned rules in Code of Conduct.

CoI / Prevention office spokespersons emphasized that signing Code of Conduct will bind the employee to its terms while dealing with people’s petitions and provides safe and positive work atmosphere between the official and the citizen and protects the officials legally.

The spokespersons clarified in this seminar, which was coordinated with the Inspector General for the Ministry, that code of conduct requires every official to deal with all people in neutral and integrity way, refuse blackmailing them in any way for facilitating their petitions, keep the secrets of his office, informing about any details against government and public money interests and not to involve himself in illegal activities.

CoI statistics indicate that two thirds of the government officials did not sign code of conduct, which makes them violate the law in two ways the first one for not signing code of conduct and the second one, is for violating the code of conduct terms and conditions.

On the same level, Prevention office reports stated that its specialized teams executed, last month, (70) visits to government and private banks to find the facts behind the deposits of the officials covered by code of conduct and their spellings.

The reports indicated that the transparency teams in prevention office executed, last month, (13) visits including the IG’s office, State Board for Arable Lands, State Company for Agriculture Equipments and Baghdad Agriculture Directorate beside some facilities for the Ministry of Agriculture.
