Anti bribery operation chamber achieved a wide operation to establish the integrity and transparency principal and raise the community awareness with bribery dangers in widening the knowledge with the bribery and to prevent it through activating media role In CoI in coordination with IGs offices in Baghdad and provinces except Kurdistan region.

The chamber has executed from the time of its establishment on 2009 many field visits to the governmental offices and institutions to examine the people`s petition procedures and to find the defect of the administrative routine and the gapes that enable the bad persons using the people and extort them for facilitating there petition.

The operation chamber stated that it has carried out during the last two years (2010) (2011) (7671) visits in Baghdad and provinces, (1742) visits in Baghdad and (5929) visits in the rest provinces except Kurdistan region.

The reports indicated that the Anti bribery operation chamber gave a positive results in deterring bribery taking and destruction practices of the national economy through currency forgery and smuggling oil etc.

The work teams succeeded in canceling and amending many routine procedures in many offices and made a time limit to complete people`s petitions, which stop the intruder employees and the unofficial petition carrier.

Some of the commission procedures success embodied in capturing bribees red handed, other commission procedures has limit the phenomenon of unreal workers by matching the salary lists with the workers themselves.

Other achievements that Anti bribery operation chamber made in CoI were canceling the police martyrs fund which take money from the MoI petitioners without receipts like passport office, civil status office, police offices and residency office.

The chamber report attracted the attention that some bad persons take bribery and practice unlawful gain confidentially, by mutual interests or receiving bribes across border especially in referring contracts, bids and projects execution.

The operation chamber work teams recorded many obstacles and demands that some offices are not cooperate with them or because of the weak procedures against the corrupt employees, at the same time they demanded to enhance IGs offices role and increase Anti bribery committee activity in Baghdad and provinces.
