CoI organizes a seminar in the Sunny Endowment Diwan: Code of Conduct

Prevention Office / CoI organized a seminar for the employees of the Sunny Endowment Diwan and the relevant offices concerning fighting corruption methods, code of conduct conditions and trust enhancing requirements with citizens.

The seminar lecturers shed the light on code of conduct content and they presented the articles of Public Service Law, Disciplinary Code and the Criminal Provisions against the employee who violate his duties or refuse to sign the code of conduct.

They emphasis on the necessity that each employee should review the code of conduct content, sign it and keep a copy in their personal records because it is considered as a personal commitment to his office and to the citizens in achieving the best of his duties, responsibilities, respecting the rules and conditions of integrity, complying with the applicable rules and laws and stated to be committed with the legal provision in case of violating, breaching, impartiality with the citizens or misuse of position to gain personal benefits, damaging the public interest or covering corruption activities.

The lecturers spoke about the role of CoI in fighting corruption according to its applicable Law No. 30 / 2011 and its desire to apply the code of conduct rules in government offices throughout field visits and other means.

2003 UNCAC Agreement content, that Iraq was part of it, was reviewed beside the UN Declaration of Human Rights which are in attach with the code of conduct and provisions of preventing corruption.

This seminar is to make the government employees aware about their liabilities, job commitments and the penalties against violators.
