With cooperation of the relevant entities in American Embassy in Baghdad, CoI announced that ( 100.749) one hundred million and seven hundred forty nine thousands dollars, from the smuggled money abroad, registered with the name of one of the ex-regime officials in a bank in a neighboring country were recovered.
The amount has been registered in the account of Development Fund for Iraq belongs to ministry of finance under the UN decision No. 1482 for 2003. Worth mentioning that CoI is trying hard to follow and recover the Iraqi money abroad.
