CoI special operations catch employee in prisoners` foundation taking bribery

A team in CoI special operations department managed to catch employee in political prisoners` foundation who offers his services to citizens who are service seeker against an amount of money.

The incident started when one of the political prisoners whose name was not included in lists of foundation to get their dues came to special operations department. He met one employee who offered to complete his petition for $2000. The informant provided documented contact with the employee and they agreed explicitly on bribery amount and way of completing petition. In case of non-payment, the employee threatened to hurdle and delay the petition. A meeting between the two parties in one of Baghdad clubs was determined. After notifying the investigative judge, he decided to conduct a trap and catch anybody connected to this issue red handed and to prepare bribery amount ($2000) through photos and registering numbers of currency. Special operations employee attended with informant for documentation under pretext that he is the money owner and from whom the service seeker borrowed the money and wanted to make sure of his money and period the petition will take to be completed so that he can get his money back. Both parties agreed to decrease bribery to $1500. When the informant met the special operations employee, he gave bribery to the accused person and after confirming that he took it all and put it in his pocket, he was caught red handed with the money in his possession as well as with his identity card and a group of documents. The accused admitted that he forged food and residency cards and visa and he confessed that he extorted and cheated citizens and service seekers.
