A team of special operations department attached to CoI could arrest someone alleged that he works as inspection department manager in Inspector General Office in Ministry of Education and he was caught taking bribe in flagrant delict.
Information reported from Education Minister Office to CoI team stated that the person who impersonated inspection department manager is extorting a group of teachers in Al – Ghazaliya district by conducting an investigation accusing those teachers of false reports jointly with one of the defendants.
CoI team could get one of the extortion victims and recorded the phone calls between the accused and one of the teachers. The recordings confirmed all his illegal acts against the teacher in addition to his request to exempt some failed students by forging their real marks.
After negotiations between the accused and the teacher, an agreement was made to pay (800$) eight hundred dollars as a bribe to close the investigation.
The investigation judge competent in CoI cases decided, after he reviewed the case, to make an ambush and arrest everybody related to the accident red handed and actually the ambush made in the day of pay and the team waited for 8 hours but the accused persons did not come to the place. The matter repeated again after determining another date. During the third date, the accused persons were arrested red handed with bribe of ($800) eight hundreds US dollar in addition to ($600) six hundred US dollar was in possession of the accused person, who impersonated  head of inspection section manager. The accused admitted that he got from some of persons who applied for a job in ministry of education, and receipts of applications were found in his possession. In addition to that, he forged two IDs; one was issued by ministry of education and the other by one of the political sides. In Nineveh governorate, the work team of Nineveh investigation office succeeded to caught (13.000) Syrian pound and (53) driving license forms in the house of member of Nineveh district judicial council after information stated that he counterfeits and uses forged notes and possesses number of forged stamps which are used to stamp the forged letters.
Musel investigation court judge, who was competent in COI cases, issued an order regarding establishment of work team to conduct investigation and inspection to the member council house, and seize anything related to the crime pursuant to article [281] of penal code in presence of second infantry division group in the Iraqi army.
The investigation judge also ordered to arrest the accused and issued an arrest order for his son, and ordered to send currency and all driving license forms to the central bank of Iraq and to Nineveh traffic office in order to make inspection. A work team in CoI Basra investigation office, managed to catch number of persons who impersonate the COI employees.
The chief of the cooperative housing organization in Basra, which was a civil community organization, complained that the group blackmailed him and asked him to pay bribe of [$50.000] fifty thousands dollar for damaging all cases and files in the CoI and in accountability and Justice Commission.
CoI team has immediately called the specialized judge who issued a verbal decision to arrest the defendants during receiving the amount after 20minutes of judge`s order. The defendants have been ambushed in AL_Jazair section where they were arrested with flagrant delict while they were handing over the file to the plaintiff. The team have captured a file contains many papers and documents belong to CoI, federal cassation court/ judicial bodies and a letter belongs to commission of accountability and Justice.
Defendant`s testimony showed that they drew all the papers from the internet and modified them electronically.
Anti-bribe operations department in Saladin investigation office attached to CoI arrested an official works in Saladin traffic office and he has been caught taking a bribe. He was referred to court judicially.
