CoI commissioner: Efforts for setting-up Integrity entity in Kurdistan

The commissioner of Integrity Judge Raheem Al–Ugaili revealed the intention to establish an integrity body in Kurdistan region for fighting financial and administrative corruption. Also, Judge Raheem talked about Kurdistan parliament’s discussion of this anti-corruption body law, which supposed to be established in the next week.
To this end, the commissioner confirmed his support to these efforts, adding, that this entity will work and coordinate with federal CoI depending on the joint working approach.
Al-Ugaili expected closedcooperation between the CoI in Baghdad and its counterpart in Kurdistan throughout the exchange of information and experts.
Mr. Raheem underscored the importance of this subject in rectification of CoI’s work in the Kurdistan territory and strengthening the CoI as Kurdistan is part of Iraq.
During next period, Al- Ugaili confirmed that he will seek the matter of establishing a commission of integrity in Kurdistan region.
