Investigation office at CoI revealed that it was able to seize about 500.000 USD in a house of one of the former officials in Nineveh province, it is suspected to be among the amounts belonging to the province divan.

In the course of discussing the details of seizure operation implemented pursuant to an arrest warrant, the office clarified that the staff of investigation directorate of CoI in the province was able to seize 445.900 USD in the house of one of the accused’s relatives arrested under investigation who hold a post as a director of local administration engineering section in the divan of Nineveh province.

The CoI revealed in 22th of April the destination of the amounts withdrawn before firing the former governor of Nineveh province and it confirmed that it formed a high level investigative work team to investigate and detect the information concerning the amounts withdrawn from the fund allocated for province stabilization. It illustrated that it continue to follow up the amounts (IQDs76.000.000.000) of which its related documents were seized after arresting 14 employees and officials at Nineveh province divan with more than 15 billion dinars in their trust.
