CoI detects manipulation in lands allocated to security forces in Babil

The Investigations Office in the Commission of Integrity revealed that its office in Babil managed to detect tampering in residential lands for the benefits of unearned people.  
The Investigations Office gave details of this operation which had being implemented by a team from Babil investigations office after they got a legal warrant of arrest against the official of properties in Babil municipality who was found involved in manipulating and replacing the numbers of the lands, allocated to the security forces martyrs and injured men, with other ones of less values.
The initial investigations shows that the official on properties in Babil municipality changed the numbers of these lands with less values ones to give them to powerful people. The accused official made use of the regulations of allocated lands to martyrs and injured security forces men according to Law of selling and renting the state properties. Mentioning that the Babil municipality did not take the necessary measures on tampering these lands which is valued billions of Iraqi dinars.
The investigations office said that it prepared a legal arrest minutes along with the evidences which was presented before the investigative judge who decided to put the accused in custody under the rules of article 340 of the penal code and preserved all related items for the public interests.
It is worthy to mention that the CoI had announced last January that it managed to return 13 dunums valued 7 billion IQD.
