CoI takes urgent measures, firm actions to manage state properties files

CoI declared that it has taken urgent measures to protect the state’s properties from exploiting, encroaching, trespassing or profiteering without right; confirming on drawing a road map to manage this file in best ways.

In this regard, a high- level delegation headed by CoI’s Commissioner Judge (Ezzat Tawfiq Ja’afar) with number of Director Generals of CoI, visited headquarters of the State Properties Office, met with its Director General (Ahmad Hassan Al-Rubaie); and discussed the properties situation belongs to state, the challenges and obstacles which impede its work.

During the meeting, the CoI’s Commissioner of called for the necessity of providing the Commission with the final situation of the important properties belongs to the State, the occupants, their characteristics and the date of occupancy. He pointed out that the Commission will audited these information with its data; to take measures and steps that end the waste of public funds resulting from exploitation of some of these properties and making benefit at the expense of the public funds.

During the meeting, which were attended by Director Generals of Investigations, Prevention, Education and Public Relation, rehashes and Studies and Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy Offices, the judge clarified that file of Real estates will witness a remarkable development via improving the mechanism of the management in the best way so as to ensure the incomes to state treasury.

Its worth be noted that Commission of Integrity completed a road map to manage many important files that affect directly on citizens live and incomes of state, such as file of entry points, file of oil smuggling and other important files; especially the properties file which comes first in its work priorities.
