Prevention office in COI reveals outcomes of the investigative team of reporting strange names within the banking loans of the public officials that was spent in two ministries through the state banks.

The Prevention office confirmed in its report the field visits of the team to Al- Rafidain Bank - the General Administration and the Central Bank of Iraq, meeting with their officials; to investigate and to conform the credibility of the information concerning granting personal loans for strange names of the public officials. The Prevention office stressed that its team moved to the bank in order to get two CDs containing all the data of the public officials whom received the personal loans in the two ministries.

The report pointed out that the two CDs were checked that contained all the names of the public officials whom received the personal loans in the two ministries and their petitions were facilitated by hand or by e-card, moreover the report sheds light on the existence of those strange names in the report of one of the satellite channels, knowingly that Al-Rafidain bank decided to stop facilitating the personal loans petitions that were conducted by hand since 14/6/2018.

The report added that the operations of checking names that were granted loans in the two ministries, conducted by the investigative team with officials of the Central Bank of Iraq and the report confirmed that no loans were granted to those strange names.

It was noteworthy that one of the satellite channels presented a television report monitored by the Media Center in COI and referred it to COI Commissioner, which included allegations of granting personal loans by Al- Rafidain Bank in the Ministries of Education, Housing and Construction and Municipalities that were granted to strange names.
