Investigation office revealed the details of seizure operation that implemented against assistant DG and Director of Al-Diwania Hospital, confirming that this operation was done under the arrest order.

The above office indicated that its team has implemented this operation and sized assistant DG and director of hospital in the province for committing violations and overstatement in purchase petitions of medicines, medical supplies and laboratory equipment.

The investigation office clarified that seizure operation resulted in seizing assistant DG, director of hospital and two doctors as members in purchasing committee and moderation of prices committee in Al-Diwania Health Office for committing violations and overstatement in purchasing of medicines and medical supplies for the first and second health sectors in province, the team also seized related documents of purchasing petitions.

The initial investigations that conducted by the investigation office after moving to the health office, showed the purchasing value of medicines, medical supplies and laboratory equipment amounted of (IQD 296, 651, 000), while the real value is less than (IQD 100, 000, 000).

The above-mentioned defendants with sized presumptions referred to the competent investigation judge who decided to arrest them according to the provisions of article (318) pc.

CoI had announced in current mid-month that it was able to seize the accountings director of Al-Diwania teaching hospital with branch`s director of governmental bank for their collusion to receive a bribe from a contractor.
