CoI explains reasons of its seizure of workers, employees at company to lay down cables of light package in Nineveh

CoI explained reasons for its seizure of workers and employees at a company for extending cables of light package in Nineveh, clarifying that the seizure operation was done under the judicial report.

The investigation office mentioned that its directorate in Nineveh was receives information on digging most of Al-Mosul’s streets by one of the private companies for extending cables of light package without obtaining approvals from the concerned entitles.

The investigation office in province formed a team for detecting on the news and reaching to facts, and it has shown through follow-up and audit that the director of company personally committed before the security manager of province to stop digging on 6\12\2018, but the digging operations continued without informing the concerned entities outside official work hours, and it focused on the roads leading to provinces (Dohuk, Erbil, and Kirkuk).

The directorate submitted the case to judge of competent investigation court on integrity cases in Nineveh, who ordered to seize the accused persons.

Based on the court order to seize the accused persons cooperating with IG office of the Ministry of Communications in province, the seizure operation was done against the accused persons, they were workers and employees of the company from scene, in addition to seizing number of machinery and equipment belonging to the company.

The accused persons referred to the competent investigation judge, who decided to arrest them under investigation according to the provisions of article (355, 361) pc, by the complicity articles (47,48 and 49), while decided ‘in the current mid-month’ to release them on bail by guarantor person, and decided to issue an arrest order against other accused persons in the case.
