Commission of Integrity revealed that it was able to thwart an attempt to take over a land belonging to the state, indicating that its staff seized a group of employees in Municipality of Hilla red-handed with forging related documents of a land plot belong to state.
COI investigations office confirmed that the staff of Babil investigation office implemented a seizure operation in the Municipality of Hilla resulted in the seizure of a group of employees in Municipality for forging related documents of a land belonging to Al-Hilla Municipality Office. The plot was counterfeit registered under the name of another entity for taking it over later.
The office mentioned that the investigations led to that the accused persons sold the plot in public auction in an amount of approximately two billion dinars; while the real value of the plot is more than four billion dinars.
The operation also led to the seizure the records, forged letters, laptop and the stamp of the Municipality, as well as the file of property in the real estate registration office.
