The cost of implementing the complex of the governorate`s buildings amounted to 257 billion dinars
The Commission of Integrity revealed that the total number of lagging projects in Karbala governorate reached (274) projects, of which 74 investment projects amounted to 53% of which zero%, pointing out that one of its teams, which moved to the province was able to monitor projects and document them in the framework of the Commission`s efforts to investigate lagging reconstruction projects, services and investment.
Strategic projects
The Commission revealed in a report that the total cost of 200 lagging projects within the projects implemented by the province within the plan of development of the regions and the investment plan for a number of ministries amounted to (1,200,000,000,000) dinars, indicating that among them about (800) billion dinars for strategic projects, notably implementing the complex of the governorate`s buildings in a cost exceeded (257.000.000.000) dinars. The first and second phases of pumping project station of Razzazah was more than (185.000.000.000) dinars, in addition to the southern road, which its cost was (111.000.000.000) dinars and the round courtyard II of Imam Hussein (76.000.000.000) Dinars.
160 billion for the municipalities
The report added that the cost of municipal projects exceeded (160 billion) dinars allocated for the implementation of 47 projects in the province, of which (24. 000.000.000) dinars spent to the road of Ya-Hussein to the governorates of Baghdad, Najaf and Babil, and rehabilitation and tiling of a number of main streets and the interior and a number of sectors and areas such as rehabilitation of Al-Markaz street, part of round courtyard I of Imam Hussein cost about 14 .000.000.000 dinars, as well as 26.000.000.000 dinars for purchasing of specialized mechanisms for the municipality of Karbala and a number of municipal departments, with the implementation of a number of networks of potable water in the center of the province.
Health and Education
The report confirmed that the cost of 44 lagging projects in the fields of health and education exceeded (65.000.000.000) dinars, of which (40.000.000. 000) dinars to build more than 30 schools and kindergartens, establishment of a scientific research center with the construction of an internal section of the Technical Institute, explaining that allocated money for the health was more than (25.000.000. 000) dinars to establish an operation room attached to the hospital of Hussein amounted to (10.000.000.000) dinars, in addition to a number of health centers and the second phase of the project of the Center for Drug Research and Prevention.
Water and electricity
The report pointed out that the cost of water, electricity and sewerage projects exceeded 80,000,000,000 dinars, in addition to the design and implementation of a sewerage network with its pipelines for the Karbala water project and paving works amounted to (63.000.000.000) dinars, as well as the implementation of the second phase of pipes for water networks and other water and sewage projects. In addition to (18,000,000,000) dinars for the rehabilitation and transformation of the electrical grid to the ground in a number of areas of the center of Karbala, in addition to implement the project of establishment of a power station in the district of Ain Tamr.
Investment projects
The report pointed out that the cost of investment projects of 74 projects amounted to (4,000,000,000) dollars, as the cost of housing complex es projects amounted to (1,900,000,000) dollars, the most notably Jannat Al- Hussein residential complex project that amounted to (467,000,000) dollars, and the modern city of Al-Hussein amounted to (240,000,000) dollars, in addition to Al Salam City that amounted to (237,000,000) dollars and Amlak Complex amounted to (144,000,000) dollars, in addition to Hotels and Tourist Complex es that amounted to (750,000,000) dollars, as well as Noor Al-Huessein city for entertainment amounted to 151,000,000 dollars and the complex es of Waha Group Karbala and Nawara Al-Melak amounted to(195,000,000) dollars and Karbala City Center Hotel amounted to (54,000,000) dollars.
Factories and hospitals
The report pointed out that several investment licenses were granted for the establishment of factories amounted to more than 620,000,000 dollars, including a factory for producing fertilizers, iron and steel for $256.000.000. In addition to the factories of production milk and fiber amounted to, 278,000,000 dollars. The report pointed out that the cost of investment health projects amounted to (200,000,000) dollars for the establishment of a number of hospitals such as heart disease hospital, which exceeded (62,000,000) dollars, in addition to the hospital of cancer diseases with (58 million) dollars.
The report dealt with the projects of establishing commercial complex es of more than (170,000,000) dollars, most notably the Karbala Gate and Nab,ee Al-Iraq amounted to (116,000,000) dollars, in addition to the project of waste recycling and power generation, which amounted to (48,000,000) dollars, as well as sports complex es that amounted to more than (30,000,000 ) dollars.
It was mentioned that COI announced the overall projects in a number of governorates monitored by its investigative teams, which categorize the criminal cases in terms of importance, and instructed the general managers in the Authority to manage the work of these teams and supervise the completion of its work.
