262 lagging projects in the province, of which criminal cases opened in 160 projects
Amounts allocated to municipalities projects exceeded 200 billion dinars

Commission of Integrity had announced the lagging projects in Babel governorate which were monitored by one of its teams that visited the governorate in continues of its efforts to investigate and detect lagging projects, services and investments in all provinces ; indicating that the number of lagging projects reached to (262), with total amount (756.934.835.422) billion dinars.

511 billion dinars
The Commission revealed in a report that criminal cases have been opened in 160 lagging projects, amounting to more than (511) billion dinars, while no criminal cases have been opened in 102 lagging projects so far, its amounts exceeded (245) billion dinars, pointing out that more than 21% of the total number of lagging projects in the province (56 projects), did not exceed the completion rate of 1%.

Electricity and municipalities
The report revealed that the higher costs of the lagging projects were at the Directorate of Municipalities, which exceeded (202) billion dinars for the establishment of asphalt plants, sorting and recycling of waste, rehabilitating and paving streets and establishment of gardens and parks and stadiums, while the cost of electricity projects exceeded (101) billion dinars for supplying , inspecting, executing and processing of electricity network and the delivery of power to a number of residential neighborhoods and villages, with the cost dismantling of the bottleneck of power transformers, the implementation of mobile stations. Water and sewage cost reached to (90) billion dinars; to qualify and implement projects to extend water and sewage networks, as well as supplying and operating of several water projects with different capacities

Education and security
The report pointed out that the allocations of education amounted to more than (73) billion dinars; to build a number of schools and kindergartens, the demolition of old schools and the construction of another, and the construction of center for public examinations, in addition to (68) billion dinars to the Divan and the provincial council, and nearly (60) billion dinars for security, including (18,378.000.000) billion dinars for the supplying, installation and operation of six wheels to detect explosives, and installed security surveillance cameras in one of the districts with (7.170.000,000) billion dinars.

It is worth mentioning that the Commission of Integrity had announced the overall lagging projects in a number of northern and southern governorates that have been monitored by its investigative teams, which are responsible for categorizing criminal cases in terms of their importance, completing the investigation and detection of the lagging projects, while D.Gs in the Commission were assigned to administrate the works of these teams.
