Lagging projects in the province reached 150 projects

Cost of some lagging sewages projects, in Mosul, reached to half trillion dinars

Lagging  water projects approached 60 projects

Commission of integrity announced the lagging projects in Nineveh Province which was monitored by one of its teams that visited the province, indicating that (148) projects have been monitored and followed up as part of the commission’s efforts to detect and investigate reconstruction, services and  investment lagging projects in the provinces.

Half  trillion dinars for Nineveh sewages
Commission of Integrity mentioned, in its report, that these projects were distributed between the directorates of municipalities, water, sewage, health and constructional planning in the province, indicating that the cost of supplying projects and implementing sewages projects  in left and right sides of Mosul of first and second phases, amounted to more than IQDs 368.000.000.000; in addition to  the cost of supplying and executing of  sewages pipes with four  lifting stations on both sides of the city amounted to more than IQDs 137.000.000.000  and IQDs 16.239.000.000 for supplying and implementing rain transfer pipes with lifting stations in left side as well as more than IQDs 46.000.000.000 to prepare study and designs with supplying, executing and maintenance of projects of Al-Hamdani and Bartila projects.

The report confirmed the existence of more than 57 projects in Nineveh water directorate varied between designing, supplying equipment in addition to the construction and rehabilitation of a number of water complexes, pumping stations and buildings belonging to the directorates, drawing attentions to the lagging of the projects of developing and updating the basic design of the cities of Mosul and Tal Afar and the draft structural plan in the province referred to local and foreign companies within the investment plan of the Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works

The report indicated the existence of 37 delayed projects  in directorate of municipalities in the province including the rehabilitation and waving of some of roads, bridges and swages,  as well as government buildings, parks and supplying equipment, indicating that the project of the establishment of health centers supplied with equipment as well as the establishment of the maternity ward, medical labs and buildings of the health departments was among the lagging projects

The reasons
The reasons of the delay was because of the delay in the preparation designs, charts, structures and the difference in the country if origin of some supplied materials and equipment in some projects in addition to the non-compliance of companies with contract terms, the execution of the works assigned to and the military operations.

Its worth noted that CoI had announced the overall lagging projects in Provinces of Saladin and Kirkuk monitored by its investigation teams formed in all CoI’s investigation directorates, as it undertakes the task of classifying criminal cases in terms of their importance, completing investigations and detections of the reconstruction, services and investment lagging projects. CoI’s D.Gs were assigned to supervise the work of these teams with submitting summary of investigation findings.
