Prevention Office monitors number of employees expediting petitions in medical committees’ complex

Prevention office recommended to increase the number of medical committees in Baghdad\ Al-Karkh, and open new complex es match with congestion of petitioners, in addition to take necessary procedures against the Doctors who abuse their job in the committees for their own benefit by referring their patients to their clinics in order to accomplish petitions as soon as possible and give them medical decisions contrary to controls.

The above office according to its report on the visit of its team to medical committees’ complex in Al-Karkh, and meeting the director of complex, number of employees and patients in which, then viewing the working mechanism and level of provided services, in order to verify the credibility of information included in the reports of one of satellite channels that monitored by media center of CoI on congestion of petitioners and their suffering; called for the health offices to emphasis on directors of committees complex to follow up the activity of their employees rotationally and order them to facilitate the petitions of patients in addition to revealing the employees who blackmail the petitioners and take necessary procedures against them, stressing the facilities protection directorate to deter its employees who roaming in committees without formal work, to follow up the petitions and work on replaced them.

The report pointed out that doctors who working on the committees should be given additional fees or privileges to encourage them to perform their work perfectly in these committees, in addition to that, the heath offices should notify doctors who nominated for these committees before issuing the orders of which, to make sure that the doctor has no administrative obligations or medical operations and others.

The report revealed a strong congestion from the petitioners at the gate of complex, which is not match with number of petitioners, and the project of new building of complex was stopped since 16\1\2016 due to the lack of financial allocations, knowingly the financial and administrative instructions of projects operating within the law of popular medical clinics no.(89) of 1986 amended, which provided for collecting ( IQD 25000) as a tax for each testing ( including medical committee work), and (IQD 5000) is deducted to Ministry of Health for developing and supporting the offices and institutions health (in accordance with instructions of minister). It was possible to take advantage of these revenues to solve the problem of project of new building, indicating that CoI addressed the ministry on 16\4\2018 to take the necessary procedures to complete the new building, as it is centerpiece in solving the problem of petitioners’ congestion.

The report explained the bad way of dealing with petitioners by some employees, and not to comply with the lists, which listed the petitioners names according to come first served, indicating that some employees of (FPS) using the main gate of complex to enter petitioners according to the patronage and nepotism.
