Recognizing the seriousness of corruption and its threat to the security of the State and society, in line with the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and in implementing the national anti-corruption strategy; to implement anti-corruption initiatives in ex ecutive and other institutions through non-typical mechanisms of preventive and deterrence,
The Commission announces the formation of teams of investigative, audit and coordination and other task to monitor the level of government performance in different offices of the State.
- Based on the powers conferred under section (1) of Article (6) of the COI Law (No. 30 of 2011), a central investigative team shall be established to manage and follow up the investigation of files (penal cases) and information classified according to the criteria (of post, funds of corruption and the impact of public opinion trends), management and follow-up of construction projects, services and reluctant investment.
- As an investigative team shall be formed in each directorate or investigative office of the Commission is tasked with categorizing the criminal cases according to the above description in terms of importance, reallocating the cases among the investigating unites, completing the investigation of the reconstruction projects, services and investment. The team will use the auditing unites and the auditors. ; To provide the necessary technical reports.
- To coordinate with the Presidency of the Council of Representatives in order to complete the procedures for the disclosure of their financial liabilities by the members of the Council; a team shall be formed to undertake communication and coordination with the Honorable Presidency of the Council and to propose the mechanisms leading to the completion of the requirements of disclosure by the MPs.
- To assess the reality of the border crossings and to characterize the risks of corruption; a team shall be formed to undertake initiatives to prevent and combat corruption and to identify negative aspects, whether related to legal, institutional or operational frameworks.
- Another team shall be formed to review and follow up draft legislation proposed by the Commission and add legal texts that respond to mandatory provisions in the short and long term, as well as to communicate with the concerned parties by the draft legislation to overcome the obstacles, presenting study on legislations that bridge the gaps included gaps in which corruption is passed through.
- The task of auditing and evaluating reconstruction projects, services and investment according to the indicators of importance, contracting, financing, achievement, expected benefit, timing or any other indicators is entrusted to a team that performs its functions in coordination with the Federal Board Supreme Audit and IG Offices. Identifying indicators and determining the roles and responsibilities of the target audience should be set up by the team.
- To assess anti-corruption initiatives at the legislative level; a team shall be formed to investigate, audit, evaluate policies and risk corruption in projects.
- Finally, the task of monitoring government performance and evaluating government policies and programs and the risks of corruption in projects and providing anti-corruption initiatives was given to a team that performs its functions in coordination with the Federal Board Supreme Audit. IG Offices shall be committed to implement the requirements of its work. The team shall involve NGOs with the Commission in order to complete the tasks entrusted to it.
The above-mentioned teams have been empowered to form committees in such circumstances.
