COI announced today that its staff was able to seize large quantities of rice unfits for human consumption in silo of Ministry of Trade in Najaf.

In the course of discussing case details, COI investigation office announced that the staff of Najaf investigation directorate in cooperation with Inspector General Office of Ministry of Trade in the province ex ecuted a seizure operation according to judicial memo led to seize 1376 tons of local rice in Al-Manathera silo.

The seizing operation showed that the seized materials contained high levels of yeast, crashed rice and a live lice, which contravened the production instructions of pulp in 2017-2018 in pursuant to article 6/second.

COI investigation office mentioned that its staff organized a seizure minutes, that was submitted before Judge in Najaf Investigation Court specialized on integrity cases to take the appropriate measures.
