CoI investigation office stated that the Criminal Court on CoI’s cases issued a default sentenced against two employees from Ministry of Migration and Displaced according to the article 315 PC; for causing damage in the public funds amounted more than IQD 12 billion.

The investigation office stated, in its speech the details of the case, that the fugitives convicts, who are working at Ministry of Migration and Displaced, embezzled financial advances allocated as grant for distributing among displace families, explaining that embezzled total amount IQD (12.351.540.600).

After the court reading the legal representative of Ministry of Migration and Displaced, which demined the compliment against the accused persons, the minutes of investigating committee, which recommended to refer them to judiciary and presumption of the accused escape, the court convicted incrimination them and were sentenced to imprisonment for seven years according the article 315 of PC in reference with (47, 48, 49).

The verdict, which issued last August, included an arrest warrant against the fugitives convicts and seizing the movable and immovable funds and it gave affected the right to demand compensation (Ministry of Migration and Displaced) before civil courts when the decision became final.
