The investigation office revealed for issuing an absentia judgment by criminal court of integrity cases in Baghdad to prison two employees in Ministry of Health in Salahaddin province causing intentional damage of public money amounted (IQDs 24, 000.000.000).

The above office indicated to the details of case, that the two fugitive convicts who were worked in the above office, jointed and deal with culprits who their cases were sorted for embezzling (IQDs 24, 000.000.000), was allocated to support the displaced, explaining that one of the convicts is a member of committees to implement the supported projects, as for the other convict worked as a mediator between the former governor and the owners of exchange companies, in order to convert the embezzled money.

The court reached to sufficient convection to criminalize the defendants according to article (316) p.c with reference to article 289 and 298 of code and sentenced to prison to 7 years, after viewing by court on the statement of legal representative of Ministry of Health, who claimed against them, the minutes of investigative committee, which recommended their omissions, statement of witnesses, presumption of escape of the defendants, as well as the verdict that included issuing arrest warrant against two convict persons, conducting the duly inspection against them, Confirm the attachment of moveable and immovable assets, as well as the damaged plaintiff (Salahaddin Health Office) has the right to ask for reimbursement before the civil courts after the verdict becomes final.
