Some voices aimed at achieving propaganda purposes began to escalate with the start of the electoral campaign for the candidates of the parliamentary elections. These voices began to fabricate lies in order to involve CoI in an out-of-competence conflicts, in a clear attempt to appear in the media through statements related to our work, and to convey inaccurate image about CoI.

Here, we’d like to renew our call on the media to the need to obtain information about CoI through its official website www.nazaha.iq

At the same time, we warn of the attempts to involve CoI in the political conflicts among the candidates, for then, we will have to follow the legal ways, if some continue to do so, while noting our respect to the freedoms of opinion and the other opinion, but we do not accept to attribute false or untrue statements to us for personal aims or propaganda gains.

We’d also like to assert that our doors are open before everybody, and our hands are extended to all those who seek to cooperate with the oversight bodies to serve the public interest and within the limits of law. However, we will not fail to take action against the lies by some saying they have referred files or cases of corruption to the Commission, as the truth indicates the contrary; because as much we respect the freedom of expression which is guaranteed by the Constitution, as we can distinguish between the freedom of opinion and the attempts of some to mislead the public opinion through allegations and slanders include the referral of files of corruption to CoI in order to appear in the media and to achieve propaganda aims and gains.
