The Federal appeal court indorsed on a resolution of AL_ Resafa criminal court with life imprisonment against the former employee of AL-Rashid Bank Wedad Mehsan Jasab for embezzling more than (15) billion dinar.
The subject court had convicted the accused of committing peculation crime through her personal confessions, legal representative testimony for one of the Bank branch which placed in AL-Masbah , details of administrative investigation , arrestment minutes and evidences of witnesses which improved, that she had exploited its job to embezzle (11) billion and (727) million dinar through using clearance receipt, in addition to another (3) billion and ( 703) million dinar from the deposit of number of branch clients.
The court obligated the convicted , Wedad, to restore the embezzled amount, which reached to (15) billion, (430) million and ( 439) thousand dinar , to AL-Rashed as a condition of release her in the case of the sentence period end term. The court also granted the bank, as a harmed side, the right to litigate the convicted and demand her before the civilian courts to compensate after the verdict acquires the final decision.
