COI organized series of seminars in Ministry of Communication, five universities and two committees belonged to Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research
The experts from Prevention Office in COI focused through the seminars on contents of code of conduct that should be sign by every public employee as legal obligation document with responsibilities, missions of formal performance and compliance with legal provision and administrative disciplines in case of neglect it.
They are clarified that the employee according to the provision of code conduct must keeping the interests of citizen, dealing with them according to equality, equality of opportunities and respect their rights, protection of public money, keep the secrets of office and not used his position and power to achieved self interests or extortion the petitioners through hindrance or delay their petitions.
The speaker showed to the 418 participants from ministry of communication, universities of Baghdad, Al-nahreen. Al-mustansreh. Al-iraqya and technology and the commissions of technical education and information the contents of public service law and public servant disciplinary law and its punitive provisions against violators code of conduct disciplines or profession behavior.
They also addressed chapters of UNCAC, issued in 2003 and Iraq has ratified it in 2007, and its provisions which its dealing with profession behavior codes they emphasized that heads of administrative offices should be responsible for insuring that their employees signed the copies of code of conducts and keeping it in their personal files as a condition employment and continuation in service.
