CoI: Meetings to discuss UN experts’ report on Iraq’s response to UN counter- corruption pact start

An expert team meetings have began in the Iraqi academy for fighting corruption to present and discuss international expert report on the extent of Iraq’s response to the requirements of applying UN convention for fighting corruption.
The team that headed by the judge, Alaa Jawad Hameed, the head of commission of integrity comprises experts from the Cabinet General Secretariat, the Parliamentary Committee of Integrity, Property Disputes Committee,  Iraqi Commission of Broad Cast and Transmission, State Shurra Council, Foreign ministry, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Board of Supreme Audit and Iraqi Central Bank.
Experts are to tackle observations of Malaysian and Jordanian experts tasked to trace Iraq’s’ steps towards the points stated in the convention ratified by the United Nations 2003, approved by Iraq 2007 and work on agreeing some notions and answering on other aiming to develop UN report final formula over Iraq’s response international conventions requirements for fighting corruption.            
Early April, the UNODC expert Jonathan Iker has revealed that the report of Malaysian and Jordanian experts includes significant positive indicators that Iraq has achieved successful steps for applying those commitments.
To be mentioned, that Iraq is one of only (40) countries voluntarily agreed on present their steps of applying convention requirements approved by (186) countries in the world. UN reports indicate that Iraq tops (12) countries achieved significant progress among countries that initiated to review.
It is known that chapter three related to criminalization items and implementations of anti corruption laws as well as the forth chapter related to international cooperation are in the forefront of UNCAC important items that face international epidemic.
