COI: Negotiation with international organization and its delegation commend to Iraq steps for implementing UNCAC

The United Nation`s representive commend on Iraqi role and its quickly responding to UNCAC requirements that Iraq joined it in 2007.

 

Mr. Jasson, the UNODC`s representive, stressed during negotiation with COI`s delegation and via video conference room to IACA that Iraq more careful than many countries affiliating to convention  since its confirmation before ten years on ensuring the legislative and legal frameworks and take the practical steps to implement the convention.

 

The COI and UN delegation discussed the requirements of Iraq assessments to the Canadian procedures regarding implementing international convention and its need to be acquainted and its legal frameworks in the regarded with aim of completion the processes accurately and subjectively.

 

The UN representatives Mr.Jasson and Mr. Jonathan said that the Malaysia and Jordan are assign to assess Iraqi steps to implementing UN convention. They are approve on the finial version of the assessment especially the third and fourth chapter related to anti bribe, prevent public money, make use power, money laundry, prosecution of criminals, international cooperation to obtain extradition of criminals, anti corruption and recovering the smuggled funds.

 

The negotiations discussed the program cooperation between international organization and COI especially training of employees on procedures and methods of recovering the wanted person and funds, preventing conflict of interest disclosing, money inflation and requirement of implementing the mutual and international convention.
