By internal oversight we develop institutional work

Under patronage of head of CoI judge Alaa Jawad Hmeed, public relations and education office held in Al khuld hall a workshop titled "by internal oversight we develop the institutional work".

Workshop has been opened by CoI judge Alaa Jawad Hmeed speech in which he confirmed that "this workshop is required to apply cabinet secretary directions that entrust CoI of supervising and coordinating the implementation of anti-corruption strategy for the years 2010-2014.

Judge Alaa added that internal oversight entities are formed under the law in force related to auditing all current processes that precede the disbursement of funds and this should be done without interference and pressure".

He also indicated that" CoI is keen to establish the concept of neutrality and transparency in the works of the internal oversight as an important shield in the prevention of corruption works through  auditing  the State counts in all its facilities."

The workshop program included discussing the first paper of researcher Dr. Ali Mohamed thigil Head of accounting studies department in Baghdad University titled (evaluation of internal control systems in government institutions). The second paper was of researcher Dr. Mowafaq Abdul Hussein dean of the high institute of accounting and financial studies titled (the role of the proper application of the system of internal control and internal audit in fighting corruption). The third paper was of researcher Dr. Salah Khalaf Noori from board of supreme audit titled (internal audit and oversight role in the success of integration and coordination among the various oversight bodies to combat financial and administrative corruption).

 Sessions focused on discussing the internal audit and control and its impact in maintaining money and achieving integration among the various control bodies.
