The commissioner Alaa jwad Hemeed assured that all the citizens are equal in front of corruption criminal laws , and there is no immunity to any one regardless their position or affiliation.
The commissioner Hemeed assured in a tour to check the performance of the Middle Euphrates and Southern Provinces offices that: CoI had basic national responsibility, which need the support of all, specially the oversight bodies to be succeed and to achieve its goals.
The commissioner urged CoI staff in its HQ and provincial offices to increase the level of performance to the range of CoI importance as well as the risk of corruption as national issue and which avoid their institution from the influences of other agendas which aim to protect some of its affiliates and to hide their bad official conduct from abusing their positions to achieve their personal benefits and to misuse public funds and exposing the state benefits to danger.
He called in his meeting with the directors and staff of Messan, Basrah and Thi qar offices to expedite CoI cases adequately, transparently and professionally, stressing that accused humanity must be respected. He said "penalties will be decided by law when a person is found guilty.
Judge Hameed draw the attention of CoI staff that the accuracy as well as the fidelity in patriotically and self-denial work will guarantee the objective terms not just for the glory of the person but also to strengthen CoI as a national edifice in charge of protecting the rights of citizens and to prevent corrupt people from abuse the public wealth and to avoid possessing the public funds by corrupt people. He also stress that spreading the culture of integrity and hold the right social value will be an important element in create an environment of prevention , prevent deviation, reduce the aspects of corruption and finish it.
In his speech with the Provinces managers including Najaf, Holly Karbala , Al Muthana , Babel and Diwaneya , The commissioner focused on the need of legislating laws which help CoI to accomplish its duties saying that the lack in legislation represent one of the gaps that lead to corruption suspicion.
Director General of legal affair department disprove in his comments within the meeting the false vision of some parties which adopt the opinion that CoI deal with small or simple cases rather than big cases , he added that finishing the cases of big influences need more of time in the work, he solicit in the same time the offices to accelerate the steps of reviewing the claims , taking into consideration the importance of cases due to the related influence in deterring corrupt persons and give a clear vision of CoI work
They discuss within the meeting the need of CoI 8 offices to extend the next year work plan and their cooperation with the domestic administration and organizations in their Provinces.
