CoI directorate of relations with NGOs in cooperation with humanitarian and human rights organization of Noor Al-shaheed conducted workshop under the slogan of (The mechanisms of control and audit in CoI work) on the hall of municipality in Al-Sadir city. A representative of Baghdad governorate attended the workshop in addition to the head and members of Al-Sadir municipality, head of integrity committee in the municipal council, distinguished persons, Sheiks, clerks, managers from service institutions and citizens from Al-Sadir city.
Mr. Waleed Abbas Jawad the assistant of director general of the relations with NGOs directorate provided a detailed expression on CoI mechanisms of work and its role in fighting corruption on all its types in addition to the role of the other offices such as (IGs, BSA and integrity committee in the parliament) in fighting corruption.
He added ``The main purpose of such workshops is to spread the culture of integrity and transparency and to raise the awareness of citizens, managers and heads of offices with the mechanisms that help to combat corruption by detecting the case and tackle it by the managers of the involved offices.
The head of integrity committee in the municipal council (Abbas Ali Altmeemy) has called for necessity of conducting such workshops, seminar and courses in order to raise the awareness of the people with COI work nature and how to fight the bribe through its cooperation with the citizen, during his answer to many of inquires and clarifications that the audience asked. From the other hand, the manager of Noor ALshheed humanitarian and human rights institution (Abed ALzahra Jasim Ressen ) has clarified that the organization`s goal of workshop is to strengthening the contact between the citizen and the responsible person to detect many of the negative cases and tackling them , according to legal ways .
The workshop was ended by listening to many of problems and obstacles that face citizens in the institutions and discuss them with the managers of service offices that focused on the services institutions` need to the suitable means and the necessity of protection and supporting the chaste employee by the COI.
