On Thursday 17/5/2012, CoI / the second special operation unit by coordinating with the Inspector General’s office in MoI arrested, according to a Judiciary Order, a person passing himself off as an Inspector General in CoI. This person used to trick officials and do some inspection visits to police stations/MoI/Baghdad police HQ AL-Karkh in order to view the names of the arrested persons.
The results of the investigation showed that this person received money in return of alleged hiring and transferring officials in CoI and MoI.
He used in this action, government vehicles, which led to deceive high ranking officers in MoI. And as a result, he was protected by some police individuals.
For many weeks, CoI was following this imposter between Basra, Simawa and Baghdad provinces according to an effective coordination with MoI Inspector General’s office and arrest warrants.
CoI expresses its confidence in the governmental facilities and citizens, but in the same time it asks them to be more cautious with any claimer. CoI follow clear and official procedures and these procedures were submitted to all government entities to cut the roads before those imposters.
