Fighting corruption is a collective responsibility … CoI organizes three workshops in Basra education sectors

CoI organized three workshops in Basra province under slogan "enhancing moral conduct in education sectors". Participants and speakers discussions focused on types, motives and effects of corruption on society public life and how it impede plans of development and construction and the role of state institutions to fight it.

CoI deputy director general of public relations office with NGOs addressed contents of CoI law 30 of 2011, and tasks and responsibilities of CoI offices to spread integrity culture and implement items of national strategy and UNCAC.

Mr. Waleed Khalid shed light on programs of relation office with NGOs to support and rise public effort to fight corruption and unveil law violators since these are considered national responsibilities must be done by all.

Member of Basrah province council  , Ghanim Abdulameer  emphasized in his research  in the workshops  held in Teachers Preparing institute  , college of Education and Al-Me`qal High School for Girls that reforming the administrative system represents  a very important step to fight corruption.

He mentioned that the members of the educational family are extremely concerned to spread the culture of integrity among the students and youths.

Dr. Rifat Abdullah, professor in College of Education in Basrah University ,  confirmed on the necessity  of using  a comprehensive strategy to educate the community against  corruption practices ,the ways to fight corruption and  the legal consequences which are waiting for  the corrupters.

All the participants in the workshop agreed that fighting corruption, after it began to spread widely in public , is a collective responsibility and must be undertaken by each person. They affirmed that any negligence  about bribery and corruption practices represents one of the  major reasons to spread this crime.
